Hello! I am a mother of two active boys, ages 9 and 11. When my older son encountered the “terrible two’s”, I was determined to find an effective method to turn his challenging behavior into a positive learning experience. Through reading and research, I found that the “time-out” method was the most common and successful method. However, the “time-out” method is proven to be most effective when using a consistent spot.

As a modern day parent with an active lifestyle, I was in need of a portable “time-out” spot. After searching retail stores for months, I was unable to find a product to fill this need. So, I invented Take Out Time Out® (TOTO), a portable time out mat. TOTO made my life so much easier when teaching my boys how to think before they react. Having a consistent “plan of action” reduced any potential frustration that could potentially lead to a negative response, or lead to ignoring due to lack of energy. I now remain calm, cool and collected and followed the time out with a discussion to ensure a positive learning experience.

I found the same challenge being consistent rewarding for potty training and exceptional behavior while “on the go”. I then created the Star Stash, a portable reward system.
